Menstruation

When you have painful and heavy periods, this is a cause for concern. While having some amounts of cramping is normal when you have your period, excessive cramping that makes your daily activities difficult is a cause for concern. Ask your gynecologist about it so you can have the problem resolved quickly.

Infertility

If you are trying to have a baby for a long period but you're having no success. There may be something wrong. The best thing you can do is to discuss your concerns. If your gynecologist feels that there is something wrong they will investigate.

Do not be afraid to share in great detail exactly how long you have been trying to have a baby and under what circumstances you are being intimate with your partner to do so.

Odors

Discussing vaginal odor is not the most comfortable topic out there. However, it is a good idea to talk with your gynecologist if you notice a persistent bad odor. Bad odors are usually a sign of an infection. The most common one is a yeast infection. You may notice a fishy odor if you have this.

Bumps

Aside from odors, you may notice that you have lumps or bumps forming on the labia of your vagina. Many of these bumps and lumps are benign and are not serious. However, there are times when bumps and lumps are indicative of more serious health issues. Once you notice strange bumps that do not go away after some time, tell your gynecologist about it. It's better to find something serious sooner rather than later. This way you can begin a treatment program early and minimize its damaging effects.

Asking your gynecologist difficult questions is a necessity. This is the surest and quickest way to ensure that you get the answers you need to put your mind at ease. If you are tempted to feel embarrassed just remember that your gynecologist deals with the things you have questions about regularly. So, don't be embarrassed.
